The MEEMIC Foundation for the Future of Education is a non-profit organization that provides several grant opportunities each year. To address the most requested item on our grant application we created a special Book Grant. From now until October 31, 2011 any Michigan educational employee is eligible to apply for a Book Grant of up to $500. These grants can be used to purchase new books for your classroom.

Who is eligible to apply?
Any employee of a K-12 public, private, charter, or parochial
school, as well as colleges and universities.

How are applications selected for funding?
Grant applications are reviewed and awarded based on:
     • Their potential to influence a school district improvement goal
     • The number of students impacted
     • How it relates to classroom instruction
     • Cost effectiveness
