Hello!

My name is Maya Soter and this conceptual unit is recommended for English 12 students.

The unit encompasses a few varieties of text: an essay by Oscar Wilde, a poem by Audre Lorde, a Washington Post article about former President Bill Clinton, and a speech by Clinton.

The overarching goal for this assignment is to promote students thinking about connections from text to text, text to self, and text to world. The unit incorporates a lot of small, group activity work, a short, written review, a couple in-class writing reflecting on the readings, and a culminating group podcast project.
