This past school year was horrendous. Then I was extended an invitation to participate in the Chippewa River Writing Project Summer Institute. At a Spring Showcase, I spoke with a former college professor and mentor. Explaining that I felt on the verge of teacher burnout (after only 10 years!), she encouraged me by saying, "This is just what you need!" She was right -- this wonderful opportunity for professional development renewed my dedication and refreshed my spirit.

If anyone is ever offered a chance to participate in such a Project - dive right in and be immersed in a culture of colleagues who will freely offer their support -- personally and professionally. THANK YOU CRWP!
